Extraction system and beam line design of the CYCIAE-14 and CYCIAE-100 Cyclotrons

Dr. Sumin Wei

Abstract:

We present beam optics studies of extraction systems, investigating dispersion at extraction,
beam scattering by the stripping foil and energy deposition. A new method for beam size control
will be introduced, and experiments on the CYCIAE-10 (center region model) will be compared to
simulations.

Sumin Wei will stay for one year at PSI (on leave from CIAE).

After her talk I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the planed work foreseen for her
post doctoral research at PSI.
