Dear Colleagues the OPAL Training takes place on the following days:

17,24 Oktober and  7 November from 

14.00 - 15.00 (I try to reserve the room for a bit longer).

I will communicate the room asap. From the Doodle I have 10 PSI 

participants. If more decide to come please let me know!

in a discussion with Alexander we thought the time is perfect for an OPAL

introductory course. I have foreseen 3 times a 1 hour lecture covering 

the following topics:

General Introduction

 - Models in OPAL

 - Architecture

 - 3D Space Charge

 - Version changes from 1.1.9 and 1.2.0

 - Multiobjective Optimisation

 - Building OPAL (optional)

Use Cases

 - Running on your Laptop & and on Merlin

 - Beam line simulations

 - Cyclotron and FFAG simulations

 - Electron source and linac simulations (optional)

Data Post Processing

- Output formats of OPAL

- H5root

- gnuplot

- Python scripts

Handouts will be available and we will not have hands on sessions. This training

is for beginners and actual users.
