Dear all, 

I would like to invite you at the public talk of Simon Schmid for his semester project at ETH. The talk is scheduled for Monday, 23rd February at 10 am in WBBA/003. 

 Simon’s work was focused on:

Optimized magnetic field maps for OPAL

                                    Abstract

A python code was developed to create an optimized description of dipole magnets in the simulation software OPAL. 

It is reported how the optimized field maps are created based on measurements of the dipole magnets. 

The optimized fringe fields are compared to the default fringe fields and two simulations were run to analyze the different effects in

a beam line.
