An Introduction to ROGER

Starting from the existing features of the H5Root framework, a first 
prototype of ROGER (ROot GEnerator for Runopal) has been developed. 
The general idea is to have a single tool able to build, run and analyse the 
beam dynamics model of the transport lines in the Proton Therapy facility. 
Profile measurements from the machine can be also loaded in Roger, analysed 
and compared with the model. In addition, a panel dedicated to 
opt-pilot is implemented allowing the setup of the optimizer and then the 
development of new tunes files. 
In the next version of Roger, the Monte Carlo simulation of the degrader and 
foils will be also implemented.
