Hi
This week we rolled out a new feature: the automatic mount of users Windows network shares upon login. These can then be accessed from ~/network-drives. Also note that "U:" is called "home" therein. A valid Kerberos TGT is required for this to work.
This feature has been enabled by default on machines of type workstation and consoles. It does not work with RHEL7. Additionally it can be enabled also on other nodes with
user_session::mount_cifs_shares: true
or disabled with
user_session::mount_cifs_shares: false
Documentation: https://linux.psi.ch/admin-guide/configuration/mount.html#access-same-network-drives-as-windows
Feel free to contact us if you have questions, issues or remarks.
Kind regards
Konrad
