REPOST:
Dear Andreas,
I am considering using OPAL-T for some tracking simulations for a transverse deflecting structure. I’ve seen you’ve done some work on this already http://accelconf.web.cern.ch/accelconf/IPAC10/papers/tupec055.pdf so
I am assuming it’s possible.
I can ask our colleagues at CERN, who are designing our TDS, to provide a field map, however I am not sure about the format. From what I can deduce from the manual, the 3DDynamic field map does not take complex field maps. Please could you explain how one could
go about implementing the TDS. Does one need to play some tricks using phase shifts to input this? Or is the code not really designed for this application?
Many thanks,
Daniel

Hello Daniel, the paper was about a standing wave cavity. Here at PSI we are using a
standing wave structure. So for TW structures I am not sure if that is supported out of
the box, I need to look into that.
Cheers Andreas
