Hi Dragos,
Thanks for bringing this up. I have added a small section with an example in the manual: https://gitlab.psi.ch/OPAL/Manual-2.1/wikis/control
Best regards,
Jochem

Hi Christof,
I’ve spent 10 minutes looking through the source code folders and I could not find a stand alone init.opal file, and I realised I had to look deeper inside the code, which is what you did.
I will ask Andreas to include a small section about this issue in the documentation with a simple example.
Best regards,
Dragos

I have to admit that I had to look for this information in the source code: all commands of OPAL can be used in the init.opal file. I've just tried it out and it seems to work fine.
Cheers,Christof

Dear Colleagues,
I managed to install opal 2.0 on my RHEL 7.0 workstation. As part of the final
setup I wanted to setup an "init.opal" file in my home folder, but I could not
find any information in the documentation or any init.opal example file.
Where can I find more information about init.opal and what environment
variables can be set inside this file?
Thanks,
Dragos
