Hi Seongyeol,

I'll have a look at your input file but it'll take a day or two. Usually particles are lost in elements with field maps when they radially leave the range of the map or in collimators.

Cheers
Christof

Dear Christof,

Hello, this is Seongyeol Kim of Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology.

I am currently using the OPAL code for the beamline simulation.

Normally, I use ASTRA for the linac section simulation, and using the output file from the ASTRA,

I converted it for the OPAL format (injected) and I used it as an input for the OPAL transfer line simulation.

During the simulation, I always face the error 'ParallelTTracker > * Deleted ~ particles, remaining 9031 particles'
I would like to know how to fix this problem. This error occurs from 10 mm propagation (even before entering a single element).

I guess the problem is on the particle distribution, so I checked and flipped the longitudinal distribution

(for the head // tail convention), but still there is the error messgae.

Could you please let me know how to solve this issue? Please find attached input files for the issue I have.

Thank you for your consideration and help in advance!

Best regards,

Seongyeol
