Thanks for the suggestions. I’m currently working on a robust, relocatable
tool-chain with all required software to compile OPAL. The tool-chain can be
used on all major Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Redhat, openSUSE. Setting
up and using the tool-chain will be simple:

Install:
- download the tool-chain
- unpack wherever you want

Before configuring and compiling OPAL:
- source a configuration file provided by the tool-chain

I use the tool-chain to compile OPAL and for the OPAL binary package
distribution.

Your suggestion about writing a quick step-by-step guide for Ubuntu is a good
idea. I’ll write it as soon as I have time for it.
