Dear all,

Alternatively: If I chose 3DDynamic with only zero E-field columns but non-vanishing B-field, does this work as expected?In case others might find this useful:
I tested it. 3DMagnetostatic does not work for RFCavity elements (yet), but 3DDynamic with Zero-E-field columns does.
Here an example of a steerer (dipole) field I've implemented:
steerer: RFCAVITY, APERTURE = "circle(0.04)", L=0.09, Z=0.1,
FREQ=1e-10, // 3DDynamic as static field
VOLT = 1e12, // Normalization must not be used (see annotation below), hence a high amplitude is needed
FMAPFN="H-fieldmap_steerer_3DDynamic.t7";
Head of fieldmap file:
Important is here:
The first line in the fieldmap must contain "3DDynamic FALSE", otherwise OPAL won't run
(I guess, because of "Ex, Ey, Ez = 0", the algorithm can not normalize it).Best regards
Simon
