Awesome! Would you share the “recipe” in greater detail such that we can add this to the documentation?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your help. I have now successfully implemented my cavity into OPAL using the method from the ASTRA example that Phillippe mentioned.

Regards,
Jordan

Dear Jordan at the moment we cannot reading complex fields for rf-cavities.
This feature is long on our todo list but no one had the time. In case you feel
up to the job let us know! We certainly can give you a hand :)

Hi Andreas,

I have the real and imaginary parts of the electric field so I tried to take the magnitude of the electric field and import into OPAL using AstraDynamic but I was unsuccessful. The magnitude of the field map is shown in figure 7 in that paper

Thanks,
Jordan

Hi Jordan what is in the field map? How is the field map generated?

Dear OPAL developers,

I am interested in simulating a traveling wave structure. The documentation gives an example of the TRAVELINWAVE element by providing a single cell field map and then defining the number of cells. In my case, I have a full cavity field map consisting of 12 cells including fringe fields. I was wondering if there is a way I can implement a full TW field map into OPAL?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Jordan
