Dear Bettina,

I can't reproduce the error with the input file you have sent Andreas. I get some parser errors:

OPAL> * Reading input stream "opal_FermiD.in".
Error> *** in line 14 of file "opal_FermiD.in" before token ",":
Error> 
Error> *** Parse error detected by function "OpalParser::parseDefine()"
Error>     The object "SOURCE" is unknown.

If I remove that element, then also the number of particles seem smaller than the number of gridpoints.

Is it the correct input file? Or which OPAL version do you use?
