Hi Ryan,

I ran your simulation on two different machines but I couldn't reproduce the error you get. Did you use the head of the repository to build the binary?

Ok I'll have a look at the files.

Yes, otherwise opal throws an error and does not run. I have checked the input distribution file and the particle definitely comes in on the opal side of things. I've attached the relevant files.

Hi Ryan,

does the number in the first line of the file match the number particles in the file?

Hello,
I am trying to do a simulation with a loaded beam profile using the "FROMFILE" type with an injected beam. It seems that opal is loading an extra particle at the 6D origin of the simulation which causes tracking issues as it has no energy so it lags behind the real bunch. I can provide relevant simulation files for verification if necessary.
Thanks,
Ryan
