Hi Dragos the init.opal file is not different than any other input file, except if
init.opal exists it will be read and the statements executed before the regular input file
is read.

Dear Colleagues,
I managed to install opal 2.0 on my RHEL 7.0 workstation. As part of the final
setup I wanted to setup an "init.opal" file in my home folder, but I could not
find any information in the documentation or any init.opal example file.

Where can I find more information about init.opal and what environment
variables can be set inside this file?

Thanks,
Dragos
