Dear Sebastian,

I believe there is only a default map for bends, for a cavity there is as far as I know not something like that.

I agree that the error message should be improved.

Best wishes,

Jochem

Subject: [Opal] Is specifiying a fieldmap for cavities mandatory?

Dear all,

I have problems with implementing cavities in my models. Attached is a "minimal" example that raises following error:

'''

User error detected by function "Fieldmap::readHeader()"

File " " doesn't exist

File " " doesn't exist

'''

I specified no fieldmap for the RFCAVITY. I thought that in this case, a default map should be used by OPAL. Is OPAL having trouble to find that default map? I tried OPAL 2.0 (build from source) as well as OPAL 2.2 (sourced binary). The error above stops OPAL, so I kind of need to get rid of it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sebastian
