Dear Philippe,

this is a bug in pyOPALTools, i.e. we haven't added the support for OPAL-2.2.0 yet. I opened an issue in pyOPALTools(https://gitlab.psi.ch/OPAL/pyOPALTools/issues/82).

I will fix this today.

Best,

Matthias

Betreff: [Opal] error when opening json samples file with pyOPALTools

Dear All,
    I am trying to open the attached json file produce from a scan in opal using pyopalTool. Simply doing
--
from opal import load_dataset, filetype
ds = load_dataset('phiscan/', fname='phiscan_samples_0.json')
--
gives the error
--Found 1 json files from 1 optimizers and 0 pareto front files
2020-04-21 19:10:10,208 - opal - ERROR - invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'phiscan'
--
  Thank you for any suggestions. All the best, -- Philippe.

Dear All,
  Does somebody could share an example of an opal input file demonstrating how to scan a parameter (e.g. a solenoid B field) and record some of the beam parameters at the end of the beamline. Right now I am doing this externally (with my own scripts) but I am wondering if this is possible with the sampler feature. Thank you,  -- Philippe.
