Hi Kengo, the Tosca field map is described in 1.4.5. "3D field-map” of the manual (https://gitlab.psi.ch/OPAL/src/wikis/Manual/opalcycl).

Tosca field maps are supported within SBEND3D.

Cheers Andreas

Dear Jochem,

Thank you, TOSCA b-map is an ascii format text file (section 5.4.5).

As far as I know, FFAG@KURRI is designed based on TOSCA b-map.

Dear Kengo,

For the cyclotron field the field map is treated a bit different in OPAL,
see section 5.4 and 8.11 of the manual for details. There are several
formats. The example "bfield.dat" has the "PSI format" (section 5.4.4).

I am not so familiar with TOSCA.
Andreas do you know which cyclotron field map type corresponds to TOSCA?

best, Jochem

Dear Jochem,

I thought the B-field map is like a TOSCA format as stated in
"opal_user_guide.pdf"
In the cyclotron example, bfield.dat is something different.
In my understanding,  this cyclotron example is sector AVF cyclotron.
Is the b-map obtained by TOSCA?

Dear Kengo,

Many thanks for the feedback. I don't know about '/etc/libibverbs.d', but
I
guess it is not important.

You should have obtained a "result.dat" after running cyclotron1.bash. I
think I know what the problem is, could you try with the attached file
perhaps?

If it still doesn't work, what is your output of cyclotron1.bash?

Best regards,
Jochem

Without fixing this  issue, I could run the cyclotron example.
Thank you again. Cyncrotorn1.gpl reffers to the file
"result.dat",however,
I did not obtain "result.dat" after running cyclotron1.bash.
Cyncrotron2.in was ok.

That is true.

This uses an OPERA field map for the FFAG triplet. If you would like
to
vary
the triplet (e.g. change FD ratio), you will need to regenerate the
field
map.

I have already a field map from Ishi-san @ KURRI and want to reproduce
the result and try to fix the field so that it would be scaling.

Kengo

I can help you to put in an ideal scaling FFAG magnet instead - but
this
would be perfectly scaling, so the tune variation with momentum will
not
be
present. What would you prefer?
